Vigneti del Sole Pinot Grigio delle Venezie is produced by the Pasqua family, whose winemaking history in northern Italy dates to 1925 when brothers Natale, Nicola, Riccardo, and Umberto relocated from Puglia to Veneto and established the company in Verona. Now in its second generation of family ownership, the operation is run by brothers Carlo, Giorgio, and Umberto alongside their children. The Pinot Grigio is sourced from vineyards across Trentino and Friuli — two of the three northeastern Italian regions encompassed by the Delle Venezie DOC — where the alpine influence moderates temperatures and the well-drained soils of the Venetian plain support the variety's characteristic freshness and aromatic precision.
The grapes are harvested in mid-September before being destemmed and gently pressed. A light maceration on the skins at a controlled temperature of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius precedes fermentation, which proceeds exclusively in stainless steel tank without oak contact at any stage. Bottling occurs early to preserve the primary fruit character and the lively acidity that defines the Delle Venezie style. The choice to ferment and age entirely in stainless steel is deliberate — without wood, the wine presents the full varietal character of Pinot Grigio without modification.
The nose is clean and direct, with lemon zest, green apple, and a subtle almond note that is characteristic of the variety grown at this latitude. The palate is light-bodied and crisp, with the same citrus and orchard fruit themes carrying through alongside a fine, refreshing acidity that keeps each sip lively. The finish is clean and brief, closing on a mineral thread and a faint floral note — a straightforward, well-balanced expression of the northern Italian Pinot Grigio style.
