Overture is the introduction to Opus One, a Napa Valley red blend made by the same winemaking team behind the iconic estate wine. Crafted in the house style of Opus One, with the same Bordeaux-inspired approach, it is more approachable and immediately enjoyable. This bottling carries the 2022 designation.
It pours deep ruby. Aromas of blackberry, black cherry and ripe plum mingle with violet, cedar and a hint of baking spice. The palate is smooth and balanced, with juicy dark fruit, supple tannins and a touch of mocha, finishing fresh and lingering.
Pair it with grilled steak, burgers, braised short ribs or hard cheeses, or simply enjoy a glass after dinner.
