Lost Lore was founded by Arturo Lamas III as a tribute to a family tradition of agave distilling that skipped a generation — his great-grandfather crafted agave spirits in the early 1900s, a craft passed down through his grandfather and father before it was lost, until Arturo set out to revive it. This is Batch No. 3 of Lost Lore's High Proof Reposado, bottled at cask strength for a bolder, more intense expression than the standard release.

Crafted at NOM 1414 in the Jalisco highlands (Los Altos) from mature Tequilana Weber agave, this Reposado is cooked in traditional stone and brick ovens, crushed via roller mill, and fermented in stainless steel tanks with proprietary yeast to classical music. Twice distilled in copper pots and aged in used American white oak whiskey barrels, it's bottled at cask strength — 49% ABV (98 proof) — with no additives. Expect aromas of cooked agave, vanilla, and cinnamon, opening into flavors of cooked agave, caramel, and black pepper on the palate.

Built for sipping neat to appreciate its full cask-strength intensity, though it holds its own in a bold agave Old Fashioned too.
