Baker's is part of Jim Beam's Small Batch Bourbon Collection, a line of Kentucky straight bourbons named for Baker Beam, grandnephew of Jim Beam. This 13 Year Single Barrel expression is bottled from individually selected barrels that have rested for over a decade, giving it a depth and oak complexity well beyond the standard Baker's release.
The nose is rich with toasted oak, dark caramel, roasted nuts and vanilla. On the palate, expect layers of brown sugar, baked stone fruit, cocoa and warm baking spice, all wrapped in a thick, velvety texture. The finish is long and warming, with lingering oak, leather and a touch of cinnamon. Because each barrel is bottled on its own, no two bottles are exactly alike.
Sip it neat or with a single drop of water to open up the aromas. A rare, collectible bottle for bourbon enthusiasts.
