Ararat Nairi is the Yerevan Brandy Company's super-premium XO expression, named for the ancient kingdom of Nairi in the Armenian highlands. Aged a minimum of 20 years in oak, it sits at the top of the Ararat range and is widely regarded as one of the most celebrated brandies to come out of Armenia.
Two decades in the barrel give this brandy a deep, dark copper color with iridescent mahogany shades. The nose and palate reveal layers of toasted bread and spicy clove, warmed by tones of cinnamon and honey, with the long, structured finish typical of a true XO-tier spirit.
Best enjoyed neat in a wide-bowled glass to let the aromatics fully open, paired with a fine cigar, aged cheese, or dark chocolate for a slow, contemplative pour.
