About the Role

The Store Manager oversees all operational aspects of the Sipsy store. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with deep knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer, and a proven track record of managing a retail team. You'll drive performance, own buying decisions, and build a team that delivers an exceptional customer experience every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all store operational duties on a day-to-day basis
• Drive revenue growth by identifying sales opportunities, optimizing product placement, and maximizing performance across all channels
• Monitor and analyze store KPIs including sales trends, conversion, and team productivity; deliver regular performance reports to ownership
• Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of sales associates and stockers
• Create and maintain team schedules to ensure optimal coverage
• Develop and implement training procedures; onboard and train all new team members
• Deliver exceptional customer service and assist customers with product selection
• Address and resolve all customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Work directly with select vendors and suppliers to manage and place product orders
• Oversee all shipping operations for accuracy and on-time fulfillment
• Monitor inventory and coordinate restocking as needed
• Maintain store standards for cleanliness, organization, and presentation

Compensation

This is a salaried position. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years in a liquor, wine, or spirits retail environment — required
• Minimum 1 year in a management or supervisory role — required
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer categories
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience working with vendors and placing product orders
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid ID and ability to obtain applicable alcohol handling certifications if required
