This is a 2pk of the Lost Lore FTR Reposado Collab and the Lost Lore Core Reposado (750ml each).

Lost Lore Tequila FTR Collaboration Reposado is produced at NOM 1414 — the Feliciano Vivanco distillery in Arandas, Jalisco — under the direction of founder Arturo Lamas III, whose great-grandfather made agave spirits in the early 1900s before the craft was lost across successive generations. The FTR Collaboration is a partnership between Lost Lore and FTR, with all of FTR's proceeds from the release donated directly to provide Personal Protective Equipment to jimadores — the field workers who harvest agave by hand under demanding physical conditions and whose labor underpins every bottle of tequila produced in Jalisco. The release is limited to 1,980 numbered bottles, sourced from El Valle agave grown in Jalisco's lower-elevation valley soils, where a warmer climate and volcanic earth produce ripe, cooked agave character with a bold, fruit-forward core.

The harvested piñas are slow-cooked in traditional stone and brick ovens before crushing through a roller mill. Fermentation proceeds in stainless steel tanks using 100% agave juice with a proprietary champagne yeast — classical music played in the fermentation room throughout, a practice at NOM 1414 designed to stimulate yeast activity and encourage a more expressive conversion. The must is double distilled in copper pot stills before the reposado enters used American oak whiskey barrels for its primary aging period. The spirit is then finished with Mizunara wood chips — Japanese oak known for its contribution of sandalwood, coconut, and spice compounds that sit well outside the flavor vocabulary of conventional American oak finishing. The finished spirit is bottled additive-free at 49% ABV / 98 proof and numbered by edition.

The nose opens with sweet agave, honey, and warm baking spice, with the Mizunara's characteristic sandalwood and a whisper of coconut emerging alongside the American oak's vanilla and caramel base. The palate is full and warming at proof, with cooked agave, citrus brightness, and honey developing through a mid-palate shaped by the dual oak influence — the American wood providing structure and sweetness while the Mizunara extends the aromatic register into something distinctly more complex. The finish is long and resinous, with sandalwood, spice, and a dry, contemplative close that reflects both the quality of the agave and the care of the craft behind it. No shortcuts. No additives. One thousand, nine hundred and eighty bottles.
