A notable player from the lush vineyards of Argentina’s Mendoza region is the Santa Julia Winery. Headed up by Julia Zuccardi, third generation scion of one of Argentina's most notable winemaking families, Santa Julia create wines that are mindful of their environment, with two of their three vineyards certified organic and the third on the way.
This dedication to sustainability hugely influences the wines Santa Julia create, and is why you’ll find an intriguing and stylish pair of natural wines in their range.
Having undergone minimal intervention, had no sulfites added and therefore in their most natural form, the two wines are authentic expressions of their unique Argentinian terroir.
Santa Julia’s natural offerings consist of a Blanco Natural made from Argentina’s indigenous Torrentes grape and a red made from Malbec. The Torrentes (think a combination of Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer) offers a delicious citrusy, fruity and fresh profile that feels familiar, but is decidedly different.
